Nepal Wedding

Laxmi, Rupmati, Krishna, Rukey, Monmaya, Saraswati at the wedding reception.

After the wedding, Krishna and Rukey had a reception at "Cinderella's Party Palace" where they sat in big red chairs/thrones and everyone came up and gave them a hug/gift/envelope etc.  It lasted about 4 hours and a huge lunch was served.  It was very nice.
Although this photo is blurred, it was a real privilege to sit up front in the wedding with Krishna in the seat that his father or older brother would have sat.  Digamber, between Krishna and me, served as the best man.  The bridal party was the only ones allowed to sit in chairs -- everyone else sat on the floor - men on one side and women on the other.  It was really hot in the church, but there was a good spirit!  Krishna wrote a love song for Rukey that Bobby, Simon and Raja Ram sang for her to close the ceremony.  It was great.
The night before the wedding we had a rehearsal dinner for Rukey & Krishna.  Rukey's family, friends and about 30 others were there -- 45 in all.  It was a really nice evening of sharing and blessing for the newlyweds.  Amber and I gave Rukey & Krishna a cross from the Holy Land, since he had carried a cross in our wedding 7 months ago.    Here we are with Bobby, Amar, Krishna, Rukey, Amber, David, Raja Ram & Digamber.
