Due Date: January 4th= Late Baby

We are at 40 weeks and still no baby. My days are filled with cleaning, organizing, relaxing and realizing that days like these are coming to an end VERY quickly. It is a bit surreal to know that we'll have a baby within a week (they'll induce for sure by then) and with every free second I am soaking up time with David and enjoying my independence.

Although, I was due on January 4th, I've always been pretty sure the baby would be late, so I'm not too antsy about the timing. In fact, I feel pretty normal and unmoved to get the babe out. It's sorta opposite from everything I've heard..."oh, just wait. You'll want that baby out in the last week", but really I'm fine and I really believe he'll be here in the perfect time. This morning, I realized what a gift it has been that he wasn't born on his due date. I was able to get a lot done yesterday and I have time, like now, to reflect on my feelings and emotions. I'm so thankful that God knows me better than I know myself. His plans are always better than what we could imagine. Besides, I am going to have the rest of my life getting to know this little guy inside of me.

We've received lost of phone calls, emails and FB messages wishing us luck and sending prayers. Many thanks to everyone sending their encouragements. We really are thankful for such wonderful family and friends who care about us and the little one we are bringing into this world.

I haven't taken 40 week photos yet, but here are some from last week.

We are wearing out husband's matching fleeces.

Oh! By the way, a little update on Amy. She went to the hospital yesterday because her contractions were regular. They sent her home, but she is really close to having her baby girl. I'd say she may be born today. So exciting. It's funny because she was due a week after me, but I often thought she and I would swap due dates.

David just took a forty week photo. It's funny because my shirt is tucked in-- we'll take some better shots later.
