The summer is whizzing by and I have yet to see the sun for an extended period of time in Portland. Fortunately, Charlie and I have spent some time warming our bones in California. First, we visited my Yaya in Southern California, followed by a two-day trip to Disneyland. We had a blast! We went with my mom, Megan, Andrew, and Ian, along with the Janak sisters, their kids and their mom. Since the Janaks visit Disneyland several times a year, they know the ropes and it was fun to explore the happiest place on earth with experts.
After Disneyland, the Kressins came up for Independence Day. We celebrated America together and toured the city of Portland a bit. We attempted to go to the Zoo, but well, it was a Zoo! So, we settled for the Rose Gardens, which were gorgeous. We also went berry picking on Sauvie's Island. Our freezer is packed with berries. :)
Charlie and I drove with the Kressins back down to Chico and visited for a week, where we were able to soak up some rays and enjoy warm evening patio dinners. Below, I've posted a conglomeration of pictures. Enjoy.

David's brother, Steve, happened to be in LA at the same time as Charlie and me, so we met up with Steve and Aunt Karen and Uncle Bill. This was Charlie first time meeting his great aunt and uncle and his Uncle Steve, who lives in Germany.

We went to the beach with some friends. This is a pic of Charlie and Melinda Hurley, my next door neighbor growing up.

What a great update! Wish I had been in LA at the same time. Miss you! xoxo
ReplyDeleteThese are great pics, Amber. So fun to see Charlie with his cousins :) You looks so pretty too.
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting all the photos Amber! Can't wait to see Charlie again (you & David too...) He is growing up so fast! Such a happy boy.
