This morning we had our 40 week appointment and I'm sad to report that there hasn't been a tremendous amount of progress. I've changed since last week, but I'm still only 1 cm. So, we scheduled an induction for next week, but hopefully we'll have the baby before next Wed. Please be praying that he comes naturally on his own. I'm a little nervous about inductions, since I've heard they increase your chances of C-Sections. The positive side is knowing we'll have a baby by the end of next week. I can plan better this way and soak up time with David and continue nesting. Additionally, it makes it easier for family to get up here, so that 's good.
This morning David took a pic of me in all my 40 week glory. I think we'll try to take a pic everyday until I deliver our boy. In this pic, I am a bit exposed, but I only have a couple followers and I figure only about 5 people actually read this blog and I feel comfortable with you all, so here it is:

ReplyDeleteYou look beautiful! No stretch marks -- how did you do it?? :-) My first baby (Conley) was induced and my labor was only 4 hours with her, so not all inductions are nightmares. I'm thinking about you guys constantly -- can't wait to meet my new nephew! LOVE YOU!!
